The disadvantages confronting people in poverty
Using different stories, Robert Cornellier documents issues confronting people in poverty. This program documents the disadvantages faced by people in India, the Dominican Republic, Florida and Philadelphia. These disadvantages include: bonded labour; lack of influence in their economic environment; hard working conditions; poor living conditions and exploitation.
The role of the World Bank, the IMF and wealthy corporations and individuals in creating poverty is considered. The program also looks at growing anger amongst the worlds poor and disenfranchised people.
