Universal Declaration of Human Rights
Laminated poster

How many articles are there in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights? How many of them can you list?

Published on the 50th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, this full-colour laminated wall chart re-affirms a commitment by individuals, communities and governments, to principles which will shape the world for the future.

Sadly, many of the articles are particularly relevant in the current global political climate. Take for example, Article 14: 'Everyone has the right to seek and to enjoy in other countries asylum from persecution...'. Or Article 26: '... Education shall be directed to the full development of the human personality and to the strengthening of respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms. It shall promote understanding, tolerance and friendship among all nations, racial or religious groups, and shall further the activities of the United Nations for the maintenance of peace...'

This year marks the 60th anniversary of the Declaration, and the United Nations will be holding celebrations leading up to the anniversry on the 10th of December. You can read about it here. Why not grab a poster now and help the UN celebrate this event in your local school or library?

790 x 570 mm, laminated.
