These mats are so functional - they work great for placemats, especially for kids! They can also be quite colorful and what a great way to recycle!
These recycled paper products are fantastic. I have both the coasters and the rectagular hot mat on my desk at work. I enjoy the different coloring of each piece and they are a great conversation piece. I use the hot mat as a mat for my laptop computer, it allows a bit of air to circulate beneath the laptop as I'm working.
I love this hot mat. Personally, I don't use it as a hot mat but as a decorative mat under a vase. It is very unique.
I'm very happy with the hot mat I purchased. It's so interesting looking that I leave it out even when I'm not using it.

All the news that's fit to weave - artisans' careful handwork makes beautiful and effective tableware from recycled newspapers. Perfect for the environmentally conscious consumer, this unique tableware is created using recycled newspaper to protect your dining table from accidental spills or scratches. The paper is coiled around broom bristle, joined with thread and glue, then starched for durability.
The mats and coasters have been tested and will stand up to the heat and moisture that comes with average table use, and could also find a variety of other uses around the home, protecting furniture from scratches.
Truly unique, and a real conversation starter.
