Our Seeds: Seeds Blong Yumi
An inspiring tour of the Asia Pacific food heritage

Our Seeds: Seeds Blong Yumi is an engrossing documentary celebrating the keepers of traditional food plants who stand at the source of humanity’s diverse food heritage.

"Our Seeds" addresses the problems of globalised food based on hybrids that require pesticides and synthetic fertilisers. The film shows how individuals and small groups have solved these problems, including an active Seed Savers group in a South Australian school.

Filmed across eleven countries with twenty tribal groups, this inspiring cultural tour of the Asia Pacific region engenders great respect for local traditions and wisdom.

It shows that common global threats to food quality and food security have local solutions in which we can all participate.

The soundtrack has two language options - English or Pacific Pigin - with subtitles in English or French.
