I have been making Rainbow Chai every weekend for 15-20 people, for the last 14 years at our Kirtan gatherings. Everybody loves it, its consistently delicious
Ive loved Rainbow Chai a long, long time! It was the first pre-mixed chai product on the market, making my home-made chai a success every time. I tried the other brands, tried teabags nothing comes close to the full flavour of Rainbow. When Im in a rush I brew it on the stove in a stainless teapot with a tea sock inside, then just add cold milk to the cup. No straining, no standing and watching the milk Now that my diet is increasingly organic, Im overjoyed to find the same Rainbow Chai blend, organic!

Made with 49% certified organic black tea from the highlands of Sri Lanka, and 51% certified organic chunky spice.
Since time immemorial, spices have been used in a myriad of ways to add taste and flavour to food and beverages. Historically, spice played a large role in trade between nations, influencing trade routes and bringing people from foreign cultures together. Spices are still bringing people together today, and increasingly so, over a steaming hot cup of chai, or spiced tea.
Chai is fast becoming a household word in Australia, with people everywhere enjoying the taste and health benefits of having a little spice in your life, every day. There are many combinations of spices used, from the many regions around the world where chai is traditionally made, from the Middle East to Madagascar, Africa to India.
This Organic Rainbow Chai, produced by the Australian company Chai Tea, adds certified organic cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, ginger, star anise and nutmeg to fine quality organic Ceylon black tea, to make a traditional Indian Masala chai that is seductive, full of flavour and good for you too.
Method:
Place 3 teaspoons Rainbow Chai, 2 cups water and 1 cup of milk in saucepan, bring to boil. Gently simmer for 5 minutes, strain, & add sweetener to taste. Makes 3 cups.
