Distinctively soft and luxurious, these Lao silk scarves have a comfortable linen-like appearance and texture - less shiny than other silk, and easy to wear and care for. Handwoven in a traditional "dork dow" pattern, hand-dyed in a laborious process using guava extract and mud. Dry clean or handwash in cold water with gentle soap.

There are various steps involving more than 17 people in the process of producing this hand woven silk scarf. Different community villagers contribute diverse skills. From the farmers who raise cattle, collect manure to fertilize the mulberry trees, to raising the silk worm, silk reeling & spinning, creating natural dyes to the designer and weaver who create the resulting artistic work.
