FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Q: The Freeplay Summit radion has digital tuning with 30 station presets. Does this mean it will receive the new Digital Radio stations?
A: No. To receive Australian Digital Radio you need a special DAB+ receiver. The digital tuning on the Summit simply provides for quick and convenient change of stations, similar to the push-button tuning in a car radio.
Q: Will Australian AM and FM stations be switched off soon, now that Digital Radio has been introduced?
A: No. There is no current plan to switch off AM and FM stations.
Q: How long will the Summit play without recharging?
A: Fully charged battery = 20 hours (at normal volume). 30-second wind = 30 minutes (at normal volume). Playtime will vary depending on the volume setting. You can keep the Summit solar-charged by simply keeping it in a sunny window-sill. In direct sunlight the Summit will charge itself and play continuously.
