What motivated the founders of the New Internationalist magazine was a high idealism; a real sense that we could change things; that if people knew the facts about what was going on, then they could actually have the wherewithal to campaign and try to make the world a better place.

Large, extremely delicious gourmet cashew nuts, harvested by local villagers from trees growing wild in the jungles of the west coast of Sri Lanka. While not certified organic, these cashews grow in an area far from any farmland, and where no artificial fertilisers or chemicals have ever been used. They are simply roasted to make a fabulous accompaniment to cold beer and other drinks for festive season get-togethers.

Completely Fair Trade also, so they make a great conversation piece at the party, and a thoughtful last minute gift for discerning friends. They are excellent used in cake and biscuit recipes, or lightly roasting them in a little butter adds extra flair as a snack.

Ingredients: Wild harvested cashew nuts. (Plus vegetable oil, ground chilli and sea salt in chilli flavoured option)
