African Dreamland
Enchanting and calming African songs for relaxation and sweet dreams

African Dreamland continues the series that has brought peace and relaxation to music fans both young and old. The soothing sounds presented on this collection feature vocal and instrumental blends from Cameroon to Cape Verde. Bedtime just gets easier with every one of Putumayo's Dreamland selections, and this is no exception.

Featuring new artists as well as longtime favorites, African Dreamland is a great mix of talent for young ears. Well-known artists on this album include Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Toumani Diabaté (playing a superb kora duet with his cousin Ballaké Sissoko), Samite and Habib Koite. The sweet sound of newcomers such as Mapumba, from the Congo, and Chiwoniso, from Zimbabwe, add to this cultural lullaby experience that no child will be able to resist.

A portion of proceeds from the sale of this CD will be donated to NextAid, a non-profit organization committed to developing and implementing innovative solutions to the challenges facing African children.
