(The New Internationalist Magazine) maintains an easy lead as the most readable, interesting, controversial and informative magazine on questions of development
I'm stimulated, excited, saddened and engaged by the people who write for the magazine. Keep up the great and important work.
New Internationalist products are always of high quality. I love receiving them.
The Independent Press Awards are selected by the editors of Utne Reader magazine to 'honour independent efforts that provide bold, innovative, thought-provoking alternatives to mass media fare.' The New Internationalist magazine won the inaugural 1989 award for International Coverage.
Since then, the magazine has won the award for 'Best International Coverage' another seven times. In the year 2000 the New Internationalist also won the highly valued readers' poll.
Wonderfully kitsch, super practical, Fair Trade and environment-friendly. Made by slum-dwelling women in Chennai, using recycled Bollywood film advertising billboards seen throughout the sub-continent, lined with beautiful kalamkari print cotton fabric. Fabulously roomy, with strong webbing handles, great for market shopping or the beach, or even as a weekender. Strong webbing handles are suitable for over-the-shoulder or hand-carrying in comfort.
Truly unique - each features bollywood stars, but images vary.
Stain-proof rexine material wipes clean.
Sorry, but requests for particular Bollywood personalities cannot be met.
