Chai Tea is a 20 year old, wholly Australian owned company, founded by Peter Connell. Located deep in the forest in northern NSW on a community/land sharing co-operative “off the grid”, their “Chai Shed” runs exclusively on solar power, as do the homes of all the members of the team. This makes the Chai Tea Co. an innovator, both in their commitment to the environment and in bringing Chai, and the authentic flavours of India to Australia.

They use recycled cardboard packaging for the Chai boxes and are committed to keeping “consumables” to an absolute minimum, re-cycling wherever possible. Chai Tea has recently introduced their certified organic range, and is also engaging in Fair Trade, being in the process of converting all their products to Fair Trade sources.
