Susan George has written widely on development
and globalisation since the 1970s. She is Associate
Director of the Transnational Institute in Amsterdam,
Vice-President of ATTAC-France and served for
six years on the Board of Greenpeace International.
An American by birth, she is now a French citizen
and lives in Paris. She has acted as a consultant
to several United Nations agencies and is a frequent
public speaker for NGOs in numerous countries.
Her work has been translated into many languages.
